Hotel Continental - view from the window

The great thing about this hotel is that it overlooks directly the river after which Rijeka is named (Rijeka in Croatian; Fiume in Italian). I'm not sure what the name of the river actually is...

I've been chained to the desk all day, and my few breaks have come about through gazing out of the window at the various scenes in front of me. Workmen. Lovers. Strollers. Commuters. All there.

And at around 6pm bright red light behind the Istrian hills.
