the killer waits

It is very still in the woods,
you can hear the drip of every rain drop,
the wing beats of every bird.
A little doe gently picked her way through the distant trees you see in this image.
I did not shoot her,
but only because she was young and small and the shot was not good,
and it was early and I didn't want to disturb the hunt....

If you are willing to eat meat you should be willing to kill it,
any less is disingenuous.
