Testing times

Today has been a mixture of emotions.
One of many goodbyes.....

Packing alone is stressful, but add in a loud busy toddler and a stubborn baby, now that is just plain crazy. We are starting to live out of suitcases now and several rooms are cluttered with books, paperwork and items to return. I'm not good with mess, so the next 12 days will be a test on my patience! Like one doctor says at work, it will be character building :-\

If you have a toddler this is going to be a familiar story. This evening and actually for the past few days Oscar has been playing up at dinner time right through to bedtime. This involves a lot of crying, screaming and time out in his part. As a parent you have to try and stand your ground and always follow through. Toddlers aren't stupid, they know your weaknesses and play on them. If you once give in, then you are done for! Parenting is so hard and tonight I felt defeated by Oscar. This is a horrible feeling. One thing I have to learn is that this is apart of his development. He needs to test the boundaries to become a strong independent person.
Tonight ended with a 'I love you mummy'. Tomorrow is another day :-)
