Inveraray

Wednesday and another beautiful day to look out onto. I am Feeling much better and ready to go...... I say.... I'm ready to go......

The physio lad appeared and we did 'the using of crutches on the steps', all went well. John arrived and after chasing down the painkillers and then a wheelchair we left the hospital about 11.00 am. This allowed plenty of time to drive to Oban for the ferry at 4.00 pm. A wonderful day for a drive and reasonably comfortable along the Loch Lomond and then Loch Fyne road and onto Oban. The ferry wasn't the normal Isle of Mull, it must be smaller and in a wheel chair it all felt crowded. However we were spotted by friends and just to see their smiling faces was a tonic, it's amazing how a smiling face can make you feel so much better. The sailing and transfer back into the car was good.

We arrived home about 5.30 pm to find a meal in the oven and the fire lit. Absolutely wonderful. Emotionally so. The boys pretended to be annoyed with us for leaving them suddenly but gave in a couple hours later to say welcome home.

Phew. And John? He is coping very well and a real hero in my eyes.
