MY SWEET BUDDY

Buddy was 17 on the 21st of September, 2009. He has some life threatening health issues such as a diagnosis of Cushings Disease about 15 months ago and then he was diagnosed with Lymphoma in June2009. He does NOT appear to be in any distress but he is wearing out as each day passes. I pray that he passes on naturally but will do the right thing by him if necessary.

The obvious distention of his abdomen is the Cushings Disease. The only medications Buddy is taking is milk thistle ( helps to support liver function) Prednisone, and Pepcid AC.

There is a medication to combat Cushings but can not be administered to dogs over 12 years of age. To do so would be fatal. Cancer treatments were out of the question due to cost and his age. Buddy is over 100 years old in human life so he has had an exceptional life span. We take a day at a time and we know time is not on our side, but grateful for all that is granted. One day he will cross the rainbow bridge and I will be devastated from the loss but happy that he will be free from his fatal illnesses. ???
