A New Season

Prior to the start of a new season a Volunteers meeting is held at the Steam Railway to bring all helpers up to speed on the latest news and practices.

Yesterday was the first of the meetings and on arrival it was a pleasure to see the very unusual sight of no less than five engines under steam for testing and safety checks.

Resplendent in new green livery was the newly refurbished Engine No 11-'Newport" which had been hidden in the depths of the engine shed for many months.
