Cockle Fishermen at Lyme Regis
We booked a last minute trip to Lyme Regis for an over night stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Through Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire, and finally into Dorset, we drove through thick fog much of the way. As we arrived in West Bay in time for lunch, the cliffs were glowing red as the sun had finally come out.
Then on to Lyme Regis where shortly after 4pm the skate and cockle fishing boats arrived back in the harbour. We spent about 2 hours at The Cob Harbour taking photographs in the fantastic early evening sunlight. (about 400 actually!) Was switching between video and camera trying to capture the fishermen who worked really hard to offload their catch. They set off again at 07.30 in the morning.
