A and S called round. We compared experiences with giving up.

I finished 'Canal Dreams' too late last night. Unputdownable but not for the faint hearted. Besides that, it described cultures and parts of the world that I wasn't familiar with and a revolution that I didn't know much about either, so it was interesting in many ways. A lot of smoke in the story too.
