Mortsafes.
These basket-like objects are mortsafes. They are in the graveyard at Logierait Church, near Pitlochry.
Their purpose is to deter body-snatchers.
The smallest one is obviously for a child.
The body-snatchers would row up-river and open the graves - taking the bodies to Edinburgh to be sold for medical research.
The mortsafes were too heavy for anyone to lift, so the bodies could stay intact until they decomposed naturally - much to the annoyance of Burke & Hare, Edinburgh's most famous body-snatchers.
