A snazzy loo & shower block!!

Our 2hr trip from Wellsford to Paihia, in the Bay of Islands, took us 4 hrs as we stopped off whenever we saw something of interest. This loo block is at Waipu Cove. We stopped for a coffee and I got some super close up shots of a juvenile gull, who was giving me grief for not feeding him!!

I got my ration of steps for today at the Whangarei Falls, which had a manageable walk for all ages.

We are now in a motel with a superb view over the bay. There was a cruise ship anchored in the bay, which has now sailed. We visited the craft & farmers market in the town and bought a few bits and pieces. The stall holder told me that the cruise ship Queen Victoria was due to visit tomorrow, but has been cancelled due to cyclone Lucy which is approaching!!! We should get some good views from where we are!!
