Open doors

First day of the year where we've had the patio doors open :) Dug out the boys' crocs so they could come and go easily.

They loved it. It's great having a door from living room to garden, rather than having to go via the kitchen and the stiff back door.

Bear is loving the extra freedom. I nipped up to the loo at one point and Bean came running to find me "Muuu-um I've got some bad news"...

Bear had been putting his toys into the pond, yes the pond full of duckweed which we'd been sitting by, watching for frogs and newts. Mum told him (after retrieving the toys) No More Toys In The Pond to which Bear responded by fetching his big cuddly duck and offering it a drink from the pond.

Kicked them out again after tea to run off their usual ramped-up energy and they stayed out another 45 minutes until it got too dark to see! Difficult to get them to bed after that, they wanted to go back outside some more ;)
