Magnolia

I was mooching around the garden this afternoon, when I realised that I had completely failed to notice that my beautiful magnolia is coming in to bloom. I must be the least observant person ever!

It was such a lovely afternoon, and the blooms looked great against the blue sky. I am enjoying spring! It has made me think of baking, strangely enough, so I am planning to have a tea party in a couple of weeks. I'd better start perfecting my cucumber sandwiches!
