Magnolia

This tree featured in yesterday's blip, and it was admired so I decided to show it in full. And how interesting it's in Dick Whittington's garden!.

Then I googled for a quote and found this - which reminds me of my mom Madge whose birthday would have been today. Warm and happy memories!

“Like the magnolia tree,
She bends with the wind,
Trials and tribulation may weather her,
Yet, after the storm her beauty blooms,
See her standing there, like steel,
With her roots forever buried,
Deep in her Southern soil.”
