Life In Wales

Blooming Marvellous

I went to the doctors this morning and thankfully he gave me a prescription for antibiotics and also drops for my eyes, so hopefully by the weekend I'll be starting to feel better. While I was there I asked him if he'd got the results of the x-ray that was done on my neck in January, anyway it turns out that the one of the discs in my neck has reduced height between the vertebrae, whatever that means! At least I can talk to the Osteopath about that.

On my way back to work I stopped to take some photos of these beautiful daffodils which are planted near the Lido. I took a nice photo last week but didn't use it as my blip, and I've been back a few times but I just can't recreate that photo, so this one will have to do. They're planted in a really nice pattern and it looks like a flower carpet so it's nice to capture them before they die off, and it's quite a different scene to this time last year!

At work I have to park on the road which is limited and quite expensive, and the other day I noticed that a lot of houses in the streets near the office have driveways but no cars parked on them. So I made some type written notes asking if anyone would consider renting their drive to me during the week, and at lunch time I went round and posted them through the letter boxes. I hadn't even got back to the office and I received one phone call from a guy who said he couldn't help me, but that the house over the road from him is a weekend holiday home and no-one uses it during the week, so he felt they may be interested. Then this afternoon I got a call from a lady who lives directly opposite the office who is also interested, so I've arranged to go round and see her tomorrow to discuss it. If we can agree a price that's slightly cheaper than I pay for the on street parking it will be great. I'll always have a guaranteed parking space and the car will be safer than being on the street. I'm quite chuffed with myself for taking the time out to do it, it just shows doesn't it that if nothing's ventured, nothing's gained....

Anyway, the dinner's ready so I'll go and put it out and catch up with you later.
