Shag

A gorgeous sunny day here. I was volunteering in the windowless depths of the Orkney Archive until half-twelve but headed out on my bicycle after lunch. The water around Scapa pier was very calm. Quiet in terms of birds (I suppose in every other sense too), there were a few long-tailed duck, a single tystie and this shag.
