An Old Home

This is the Park Lodge in Hampden Park, Eastbourne.

It sits in a quiet corner of the park surrounded by several large vegetable gardens. The road layout was changed a few years ago to stop this being used as a commuter rat-run and so retains a quiet aspect.

My grandparents lived there from 1947 until they retired in 1965

Summer holidays were frequently spent staying with them for 2 or 3 weeks; happy days
