What a wonderful day to be off work!

Matt was off as well, so we donned our walking boots, grabbed the pooch and set off on a trek up to the top of Holcombe Hill in the sunshine. The views from the top are just breath taking. This is Peel Tower that is at the top with the lovely Maggie on the right (she'd just spent 5 minutes chasing a butterfly) waiting for us to catch up.

We made the obligatory stop at the Shoulder of Mutton (which conveniently sits in Holcombe village at the foot of the hill) and had lunch in the sunshine. Perfect.

There are so many lovely walks right on our doorstep. I feel very lucky to live here. It makes me a very happy lady :-)
