Sent to the Tower

This is the Tower Block of Dundee University and will be known and loved (??) by many thousands of students. I actually did a course in Creative writing in it, mainly on Poetry.
Eleanor, my wife, was feeling a lot better today and was sent to the Tower for a talk which was part of Dundee's Womens Festival. The subject was an amazing lady called Mary Lily Walker, who lived in the 19th Century and did some amazing work improving the lot of women in those days. She truly was a woman ahead of her time but who changed her times.

The talk was given in the Cafe at the top of the Tower, which affords some amazing views of the City. See Eleanor's Journal for one of the views.

Eleanor is grateful for all the support from so many people. Hopefully she has turned the corner after her operation, although there are still a few weeks to go in the recovery process.
