Spring Reflections

Spring is still a ways away in Michigan, but there are signs.

We've got more snow this morning, more school closings today. But winter does seem to be ending, even if kicking and fighting.

It was a mess yesterday, walking my dog, trying to find streets, sidewalks, and alleyways that did not have puddles of water, mud, mushy dog crap revealed by melting snow, and more fun stuff.

There also are places, in the middle of all this, that are worth stopping and looking at--and photographing, such as these trees. The picture comes from a back alley, behind Hall Street in Grand Rapids.
