Memento mori

More trees fall — dust to dust.
Trees are fragrant, beautiful, and useful in every stage of their lives.

I watched the last limbs, full of sprouting leaves, crash to the ground.

The trees of the Lord are full of sap,
the cedars of Lebanon which he planted,

In which the birds build their nests,
and in whose tops the stork makes his dwelling.

— Psalm 104: 17-18
