Chinese cabinet lock
Today started rather grey, so I stayed in and edited photographs. It's incredible really, we've had 3 days of almost summer-like temperatures and this very mild winter. Last year's Blip for 11 March was about the umpteenth snow shower!
This week's alphabet challenge is about keyholes, so I've also been trying out shots of the different locks and keyholes in the house. This is one of them, the lock of a Chinese cabinet.
The decorations around the edges of the circle are the 8 immortals, a group of deities in Chinese tradition, they represent all the good qualities people can have, you could see them as Chinese saints. In this crop only six of them are visible, they are very often used in decorations on Chinese home accessories.
Thanks for your comments and stars on yesterday's Mariehof Blip :-)
