walking the dog

There is always someone walking the dog along the Longdendale trail at this time in the evening and in this case very welcome.

It was a real golden hour so I enjoyed taking lots of photos of trees, rocks, grasses, the moon, pylons, the traffic stuck on the A628 OK just about anything.

This was my last photo of the day.

I do wish I had had the chance of one more, when driving home along the valley there was first a low rumbling noise, then a bang, bang ( thought for a second that a tyre had blown) then a WOO ...WOO ...WOO. and an enormous white Bell 'Huey' Helicopter was flying by to my right at the same height !

If there had been no traffic behind I might just have got him !
