Viva Italia!!

It's our last night in Adelaide before we head east towards Melbourne so we decided it was a very plausible excuse to dine at one of the "Go To" restaurants in the city.
Great news, it was only 500 metres from the wonderful Boutique Hotel that we were staying in. A leisurely stroll found us at the door of Andre's Cucina and Polenta Bar.

Andre Ursini was one of the contestants in the first series of Masterchef Australia. His passion for authentic Italian food was very evident throughout the series and I think we all knew that Masterchef would just be a stepping stone to a successful career in the restaurant industry.

Our very enthusiastic and welcoming waitress Clare convinced us to try the "Menu Fisso" which turned out to be the equivalent of the most wonderful meal in an Italian families kitchen. It was absolutely sensational.

Andre and the kitchen team decide daily on what they will cook and serve based on seasonality and freshness. All we needed to do was sit back and enjoy the culinary journey. Every dish turned out to be an adventure.

I love it when a person who has a passion and vision finds a way to fulfil their dream. Andre has certainly done that.

PS - Our very obliging waiter Hugo agreed to take a Blip for us tonight. I didn't want to miss out!!! Viva Italia.
