Watching the end credits
Ian and I are at the Electric Cinema in Portobello... small screen with comfy leather sofa's, footstools, cashmere pashmina's, proper food and a bar at the back.
Oh yes, we came to see a movie. Wes Anderson's Grand Budapest Hotel, which is not about Budapest or much about hotels really. Just a quirky tale of one man's journey between and over the two world wars.
Cast of thousands including Ralph Fiennes and Harvey Keitel, who are all on deferred payments (so I believe), such is their confidence in the director.
Nice film, appropriated story, Gilliamesque treatment and no I didn't mind that there were only really two women cast in it. It worked.
Being at the Electric is always good because the staff are excellent, plus we ate in the Diner afterwards. The chef's are excellent too. Full marks!
