A New Guinness World Record

I was lucky enough to witness a Guinness World Record tonight at the Park Bar. Donnie "Maroot" MacLeod set a new record for "The Most Jokes Told in an Hour". He absolutely smashed the previous record of 550 by 30 jokes but the most frustrating thing was that he ran out of jokes with 6 minutes still left.

In his opening 15 minutes Donnie managed 200 jokes so going at that pace he would have easily told over 600. I suppose that now means he better do it all again next Wednesday!

His record attempt was done as part of a charity fundraiser which he has already raised over £10000 through his joke book sales. Donnie amassed a further £4000 on the night, which is a staggering effort!! A fantastic achievement and a brilliant evening.
