Portraits

An absolutely beautiful day here today, but I didn't get a walk at lunchtime, so I thought that I would share this with you. Portraits of my matrilineal great-grandparents. Born in Scotland, they died in the USA - I visited their graves for the first time last summer when staying with my relatives in New Jersey. My mother's mother remained in Stirling, because she had met my grandfather, but the rest of my grandmother's siblings emigrated to the US between the world wars - followed by their parents - seen in this picture. It was strange to go all the way to New Jersey and then to find their graves, but it was good to meet some of my relatives over there.
