Roosting

It was a full on day today as it always is when I return to a waiting list of repair work. There were quite a few urgent admin things to do as well. I visited my mother in the nursing home just as the rooks were returning. Their behaviour is quite odd. They appear to be settling down, a few call raucously and then they all fly away for a few minutes before returning again. I liked their blackness against the darkening sky and the pattern of the branches.
