A rainy day in Mzuzu

The rainy season has really arrived, with rain belting down all day, much like Dublin. It's warm though and it will clear in a few hours and then back to the high thirties!!
Spoke to Harisen just now and the scarcity of fuel is crippling everything. No diesel for the jeeps or generators, ho cement or other building products because the transport lorries can't travel and all as a result of lack of forex.
Seems Malawi owes 50 million dollars to Mozambique for fuel; a recent election, a new presidential jet amd a bunch of new mercs for the ministers may not have helped. (All my information courtest of the Malawi Times and Nyasa Times newspapers online!)
Real fact, Harisen queued for 8 hours last night to get a fill of diesel, what a waste.

He just wrote:
John,
Still battling to get fuel and no cement due to the luck of fuel and shortage of forex on the other hand.
This will continue for the whole of this month might be the to the end of the year.
The .
ESCOM will shortly provide us with electricity as they are now ready with all the materials on site, the rain might delay them.
The glass was fitted in the factory yesterday. John Bansey visited Luwinga factory, and he said he now knows what was making you busy!!!.
We finally got the letter from MRA, accepting us for tax compliance. Will also look into the duty free exemption.

Regards to all

Harisen
