Seasonal drumsticks

This is the first primula out at Arduaine this spring, the old faithful and well-known Primula denticulata, the drumstick primula from the Himalayas. They seed along the path and pond edges here and as the flowers mature, the stems elongate. This lilac-pink is probably the most common colour, but we have the white form and various shades of rose-pink or almost purple.
