Caledonia Road Church

This was Alexander 'Greek' Thomson's first church in the city, built in 1857. Right in the heart of the Gorbals district.

Its a fabulous building sadly neglected for many years. There have been various schemes and initiatives to refurbish and revive it but they never seem to happen. A lot is being spent on the City in the build up to the Commonwealth Games and I was hoping they may have considered doing something here. But I don't think its on anyone's agenda.
