March on the Mono - Tree Fungi

At mood foody group at the Rannoch Centre, learning about de-hydration.

Such a nice day, I walked slowly back across the very muddy grass. The daffodils opposite Drumbrae Library Hub are lovely under the trees.

I had decided on Drumbrae Leisure Centre as my B & W today, however, when walking along the tree line I notice a dying tree and investigated, and todays Blip has magically turned from a sports centre into a fungi growing on a tree limb.

I really enjoyed looking at all the wee branches checking out how the leaf buds are beginning to appear. I also enjoyed standing and watching three buzzards circling the fields, all that busy traffic whizzing by and just enjoying a long moment with the birds and me :-D Made me think of this poem.

Time to Stop & Stare

What is this life if full of care
We have no time to stand and stare?

No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep, or cows.

No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.

No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this, if full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
