Cheddleton Flint Mill

Visiting the home town and it's environs on a trip to see my Nan, we went nice and early and made good use of the unseasonable weather with an outdoor pub lunch and a stroll along the canal to the Flint Mill at Cheddleton. For some reason I've never been. Luckily for them, we didn't have time to drag the kids on a tour of the old asylum grounds to relive my first experiences in the wonderful world of employment. I was a Domestic there, seasonally, whilst I was at university and am quite interested to know what is left of the old place, if anything, apart from the original Victorian water-tower that still sits in the middle of what is now apparently an upscale housing development.
