Three men..

and a hedge trimmer in the garden for the day .. means a HUGE pile of clippings to be burnt.

Having a slightly pyromaniacal streak within me I am delighted and wasted no time in lighting up the ivy and hawthorn prunings!! The ivy is wonderful and burns ferociously but the hawthorn being so green is not so easy and also it is so prickly it is difficult to compress it down to get the fire to consume it. It will be a week long project I expect.. (or longer though I long to get it off the tarpaulin on the grass)..
Flossie is not impressed.. far too many prickles for her!! and the smoke makes her sneeze!
