...and Winners

A slightly blurry winner but a Blip to celebrate it nonetheless. Steve McQueen and company took home the Best Picture for '12 Years a Slave' this year and it was very well deserved - it also marked a nice bit of mutual recognition by the academy, where 'Gravity' was allowed to sweep the technicals and took a very deserved Best Director for Alfonso Cuarón (after four and a half years of work, not including the years of planning before) they also gave McQueen an award of equal standing and so both directors were able to take to the stage and give thanks (not forgetting Best Supporting Actress for Lupita Nyong'o and Best Adapted Screenplay for John Ridley).
