Bird of Many Colors

Another hectic day today. I did manage a quiet moment on the deck with the birds. That's when I got a photo of this handsome starling. Though they can be pests, they sure do have wonderful colorful feathers.

Our day included braving the huge Sunday crowd at Costco and some late visiting and dinner at Zen, a sushi restaurant with a conveyer belt that circles next to the tables. On it are all kinds of sushi on different colored plates. At the end of the meal the wait person counts the number of each color, multiplies by that color price, and that's what you pay. Of course we always eat too much as we did tonight. But it is fun and the sushi is very good.
