Why does this woman look so happy?

Guest blip by The Professor today of me in the hospital awaiting the news that yes, you did manage to break your foot by walking down TWO steps. Way to go lady, you are awesome.

I broke my fifth metatarsal (for those of you who care about that sort of thing) on my left foot. Fortunately I broke it in a good place (??) so I don't need surgery or a plaster cast or anything - just an ace bandage and super sexy shoe apparatus to give my foot plenty of support. I'm also on crutches for the next 4-6 weeks.

I can't put any weight on it at all for the next two days, which means The Professor will be making the pies for Thanksgiving and straightening up the house... while I get lots of knitting done.

I know he will do a bang up job.
