Oyster catcher

A nature day. These guys have appeared back down at the bottom of the Mennock a sure sign of Spring and hope. With all the campers and mad drivers I always wonder how any of them survive. Not a great shot but by the time I'd stopped the car and dived out his partner had taken off and he was starting to hurry away. It was also freezing!
On my way back up after line dancing I passed a badger but of course he'd shuffled off into the verge by the time the camera was out as did the white mountain hate I met at the cattle grid between the villages.
