Castle of Racconigi

The Royal Castle of Racconigi is located in Racconigi, not far from Turin.
In the course of its almost thousand-year history has seen many changes and became the property of the Savoy in the second half of the fourteenth century.
Later it was the official residence of the Savoia-Carignano branch and was elected the seat of the "Royal Villeggiature" of the royal family of the King of Sardinia (and then of Italy) in summer and autumn.
Became a cultural center and museum highly attended, the castle is part of the circuit of Savoy Residences of Piedmont.
