Cor Poor Rate

In Coventry today do a bit of general repair, decorating and gardening to help speed the house sale on its way. As is the way with DIY it took somewhat longer than planned and we concluded it would be better to finish it off tomorrow morning - that meant finding somewhere to stay.

Coventry is curiously unpopulated with B&B's - the few I could find were all firmly in the city centre; and we weren't. So we plumped for a People Storage Unit of the PremTravelInLodgeTel type - this one styled as a 'Village Hotel'. Hmmm .

The facilities were OK enough but the build quality was rubbish. I took this because we were amused how inappropriate a stripe was for an already unpleasantly-long anonymous corridor.

I'd not noticed the way the floor gently oscillates until offloading the image, but it was about par for the building and matched the coming-off curtain rail, cracked floor tiles, creaking floor and non-functional [non-]heated tower rail.
