Multi tasking

Running thirteen miles and smiling. I couldn't do that.

The Surrey half marathon today, fantastic atmosphere with a rock band in the middle of the road as the runners turned to head back down from Woking to Guildford. Lots of different ages and ethnicities, great cheering on from the crowd, a lot of fun costumes. I chose this shot because the woman was so happy to see her family who were yelling encouragement as she ran past.

A lovely long sunny day. Had farewell brunch with The Girl Racer who is off to Australia for another month. Went for a terrific walk around Pirbright despite a lot of the footpaths being unusable because of the mud after the recent rains. Then into Guildford to look at kitchens before coming home and doing domestics with the remains of the day.

Feels like winter has finally turned into spring.
