Loch Lomond in March

For a change of scenery I took a trip down to Balmaha on the eastern side of Loch Lomond this afternoon for a dauner round the boatyard. The only boat still in the water was the mail boat, which delivers post to the inhabitants on the islands. All the other vessels were safely on land.

I also wandered along to the new pier, where there were a few dejected-looking fishermen sitting waiting for something to bite. My blip was taken at that spot, pointing the camera northwards up the loch. On the right you can see a silhouetted figure with his rod and a snowy Ben Lomond.

If the forecasts are correct, the weather is due to improve this week. About time too!
