Road Trip day 10

Driving from Kanab, UT to Page, AZ.
No fair! My folder for today counts 542 pictures and I'm only allowed to post 1.

We drove from Kanab to Page this morning, which was only an hour. Since Arizona doesn't deal with daylight savings time, we won an hour. So basically we left at 9 am and arrived at 9 am. We went to see the Glen Canyon Dam, which is very impressing. I've seen the Hoover Dam near Las vegas and this one is about 16 feet (5m) lower. Not that much of a difference as long as you are just observing it with your naked eye and not bringing your measuring tape.
Next we went to take a tour at the Lower Antelope Canyon. We had read that this is the photographers paradise, so we wanted to go there. Google it online and you'll find the most stunning pictures.
It IS a photographers paradise. A guide will take you on a tour into the very narrow canyon. It's a walk of about an hour and there is some climbing involved. I honestly couldn't keep up with the group, because I was taking pictures about every step I took. It's a good thing I have a husband with a camera, so we could double the amount of pictures taken on this tour. He was up front, I was in the back of the group. I was glad with the kids on our tour. They kept the guide entertained, so he wasn't annoyed by my slow movement through the canyon.

After paradise and coming back to earth, we watched the sunset over age from a great outlook point. Although that sunset was great and the pictures were great too, it didn't match up to my experience "underground".
So here it is, out of 542 pictures I took today.
