Pillar of Light (SOOC)

We had a slow morning in Kaikoura, starting with their farmers' market and then a seriously good coffee at a wee cafe called Reserve Hutt. Had to buy some of their coffee beans it was SO good. Had lunch at The Store at Kekerengu then a few stops just because we felt like them on the rest of the drive home.

I had a party to attend this evening up the Tutaki Valley and on the way home I had to stop for this shot. Wasn't sure if it was the finger of God telling me I'd done something right or if it was a slide for the aliens to use on their visits. Either way it was pretty impressive.
