Road Trip day 6

Today we drove from Cortez, CO to Moab, UT.
We visited Arches National Park today. Let me tell you; it was hot! About 113F. If you ever go there during the summer, water is your favorite word.
Of course you always see all the great pictures taken from places like this; Delicate Arch, Balanced Rock, The Organ, The Three Gossips, etc.
We were not able to go there at the crack of dawn and take those incredible pictures from a Delicate Arch during sunset with cameras and lenses that are probably so expensive, that we could easily pay our 3 week road trip with that money instead.

That said, we were still able to take some incredible pictures. The reason why I chose this picture is that Landscape Arch has suffered from some erosion in the past years. Nobody knows how long it's going to be an arch. So I was happy to be here and to be able to take a picture of this incredible piece of sandstone. For the generations to come; I took a picture while it was still an arch. That's an accomplishment, I think.
It took us about an hour walking there and an hour back, hardly any shade. I was glad I brought an umbrella. With a torn meniscus and 113F it was NO fun, but at the end it was worth it.
