Only one way down
I'm sure he was still feeling the hops from a fun birthday party this morning at Absolute Air Park (indoor trampoline park) for his buddy Jaeden, but Alex was jumping off anything and everything he could today. This evening the boys saved me from cooking dinner and we headed up through the beautiful Skagit Valley farmlands to our favorite restaurant in LaConner, Seeds. On our way there we spotted a huge eagle standing in the middle of a flooded field. We felt it was picture worthy and turned the car around to get a shot. Unfortunately, Isaac wasn't feeling too stealthy and drove too close to the incredible bird, spooking it and causing him to fly away before I could get a shot. We did end up finding a road, however, that lead to a nature preserve and had fun checking it out. You could see the sky darkening promising stormy weather and the wind was fierce which added an interesting element to our exploration. Dinner was fantastic!
