A Tribute

This morning I attended a memorial service at the esteemed institution in memory of Malcolm L MacKenzie. He was a former Senior Lecturer in Education at the University of Glasgow, a broadcaster and debater. Latterly he was my colleague but he had also been my lecturer. I loved his classes. He had a droll sense of humour and the breadth and depth of his knowledge was astounding. He was my referee when I applied for my job. He was great and in truth I was just a tiny bit frightened of him (in a good way). Scottish education has lost a great thinker. He will be sadly missed.
