Flashback...

...to the last weekend.

We went to the carnival completely unprepared as far as masks and costumes were concerned, nothing to worry though, as every second shop in Venice is a mask workshop with some capes, hats and wigs thrown in. They vary from simple thin eye masks for a few euros through more elaborate paper mache creations which are all based on the same blank templates, to truly original masks like this one.

The variety is stunning.
