Special Women

They say that behind every great man is a great woman - I have 2!

Today is International Women's Day, so my Blip just had to be one of my fantastic Mum and wonderful girlfriend, both of whom I love very much.

Unfortunately the blip idea came to me when I was already on my way over to my parent's, so I missed the opportunity to take a photo of my better half before our hack this morning. And I was also without my camera. Unfortunately, the shot I took of my Mum on my phone was so under-exposed and grainy that it was completely unusable.

So I had to hunt back through my library - I knew I had several great shots of my better half and had this one (taken on Cannock Chase in May 2013) in mind from the start. The difficulty was finding one of my Mum, as she's not that keen on knowingly being in front of the camera. I eventually found this one, taken in July 2013 at my Uncle's 70th birthday party. I hope that she doesn't tell me off too much for using it! :D

I combined the two in a new file in Photoshop and added a slight drop shadow to give some depth.
