Hillman Imp

We went to the Riverside museum today. We walked from Central station along the Clyde, had lunch and spent most of our time visiting the tall ship Glenlee.

My Dad owned 3 Imps between 1963 and 1976. (in succession, not all at once!)
I discovered today that the Imp was only in production during those years so he must have owned one of the first and one of the last.

In 1976, shortly after he had bought his third Imp, an accident put him and Mum in hospital and wrote off the car. When I got to the hospital, they were being cared for in separate areas of A and E. Once he was reassured about Mum, his first thought was for the car. "I'll never be able to get another Imp", he said sadly. He was a great fan.
