Potions

After school, I took the girls to visit my grandmother. It was nice seeing her as we've not managed to go for too long.

The Youngest was invited for a sleepover tonight, so while I took her there, I left the Eldest at home alone...yes terrible mother. I arrived at the sleepover house, just a few houses away, and to get to the house, there were hedge clippings everywhere. The Mum had obviously been very busy! Then let ourselves in, went upstairs to find feathers EVERYWHERE, and the Mother inside a quilt cover, looking like she had made herself a den. She was trying to transfer feathers from a too heavy quilt, into a new cover she'd made a while ago...she couldn't quite manage to get the feathers to do what she wanted...and they'd blown throughout the house.

She then said that she'd had a phone call from another local friend who said that they had slaughtered a sheep that day, and did the Mother want the pelt to cure. Apparently she'd answered yes.

I just love this woman...all action! I think she may have bitten off more than she could chew today. When I arrived, there was also the 2 year old (4 kids aged 11, 8, 5 and 2) climbing up on a chair into the freezer bare arsed naked with a feather between his buttcheeks trying to get a bun out.

I helped her by having a swift glass of wine with her before departing without my child. Super helpful.

I arrived home to find that the Eldest had busied herself making a potion. Outside thankfully.
